Sofitel London Heathrow Airport

Opening on 30th June 2008, the Sofitel at Heathrow Airport is an oasis of refined luxury. The hotel features:

Hallam Conference Centre

The Hallam Conference Centre is due to open early in May 2008 and is the 4th venue to be added to the portfolio alongside the Cavendish, Mayfair and ICO Conference Centres.

Situated conveniently between the underground stations of Great Portland Street and Oxford Circus Tube, The Hallam is superbly located for all public routes and very convenient to the superb restaurants and theatres of Central London.

Dexter House

Dexter House A superbly located new venue is an oasis of calm in the heart of the City. A prime space in Royal Mint Court close to The Tower of London and overlooking a beautiful courtyard has been turned into venue number 7 for etc. venues.

This is an excellent facility within an impressive building in an interesting and easy to get to location (a stone’s throw from the Tower of London and a few minutes walk from Tower Hill Tube and Tower Gateway DLR stations).

This large Venue (22,500 square feet) covers one complete floor of the Dexter House Building in Royal Mint Court.

The large, versatile space has 16 meeting rooms and can cater for groups from 2 to 250. The Venue is bristling with IT infrastructure and supported by full kitchen and catering facilities, restaurant, café and relaxation areas.

The new venue opened for business on 3rd Sepetember 2007.

QHotels Refurbishment Update

QHotels Since its inception in 2004, QHotels has invested over £360 million acquiring properties and over £125 million in refurbishing its 22 highly individual hotels. To date Chesford Grange in Warwickshire has enjoyed a £6 million refurbishment, The Queens in Leeds has been restored to its Art Deco grandeur with a £10 million investment, The Midland, Manchester has completed a £15 million investment and Forest Pines in North Lincolnshire has benefited from a £11 million investment to create a new Events Centre and add additional bedrooms.

Other recent refurbishments include: The Park Royal, Warrington, with a £4.5 million refurbishment, and The Cheltenham Chase Hotel, Gloucestershire, with a £3 million refurbishment. Norton Park, Winchester, has also undergone a massive transformation and now boasts exceptional facilities. There are 16 state-of-the-art conference and meeting rooms with the largest suite holding up to 350 delegates theatre style.

Refurbishments currently underway include: Ashford International Hotel, Kent; The Westerwood, near Glasgow; Telford Golf and Spa Hotel, Shropshire; Crewe Hall, Cheshire.

Hilton Hotel Blackpool

Hilton Hotel Blackpool Over the past twelve months Hilton have spent nearly £2 million on upgrading and refurbishing the Blackpool hotel. Nearly half of it was spent on revamping 52 bedrooms and bathrooms which included the bedroom corridors, carpets and decorations. The public areas have had a revamp that included new furniture and decorations in the Lounge Bar and Restaurant, plus refurbishment of the public toilets.

There has also been a massive reinvestment for fire safety with the installation of a sprinkler system that covers the entire hotel. New front doors will be fitted to the main hotel entrance late 07/early 08 and bedroom refurbishement is ongoing.

Hilton Hotel Birmingham This Hilton hotel has undergone a £20 million refurbishment over 4 years. 200 new bedrooms were completed by 31st December 2006, together with a new lounge and reception area. Upgraded conference facilities have also been completed, along with the Boulevard, Millers and Primavera restaurants. The hotel also features impressive health and leisure facilities.

Sheraton Athlone Hotel

A dramatic, contemporary 12 storey presence overlooking the Shannon River in the heart of the Irish Midlands and an integral part of the overall redevelopment of Athlone Town Centre, the new Sheraton Athlone Hotel, will open in April 2008.

In addition to the spectacular 167 bedroom hotel, the Athlone Town Centre redevelopment project, which has a total investment of over €500 million, will consist of 50 retail units, 145 residential units, restaurants and cafés, a crèche and 1300 car parking spaces.

City Inn Manchester

The City Inn Manchester opened in May 2007 and offers complimentary Wi-Fi Internet access, LCD projectors, fresh air-conditioning, state-of-the-art audio visual equipment, floor-to-ceiling windows and flexible lighting and blackout facilities. Lydiard House Swindon

Lydiard House Swindon A beautiful Grade I listed building located just 5 miles from central Swindon, 3 miles from junction 16 of the M4 and set within 260 acres of grounds. Developments within the last year have been amazing and include £5 million lottery funding to develop the grounds. Lydiard House offers 13 extremely well appointed meeting rooms, 34 comfortable bedrooms, excellent cuisine and service as well as on-site secure parking.

Jurys Inn Brighton

Opening in December 2007, the Jurys Inn (Brighton) will form part of three Jury hotel properties on the South Coast, along with Jurys Inn Plymouth and Jurys Inn Southampton. Jurys Inn Brighton will be located in the New England Quarter area of Brighton, which is less than a 2 minute walk from the main line rail station. The Macdonald Manchester hotel opens in September and is a £50 million development that will see the addition of a 338 bedroom hotel opposite Manchester Piccadilly train station.

Mercure St Pauls Hotel and Spa Opened in May, the Mercure St Pauls is a luxury 4 star hotel, offering 161 en-suite rooms in the heart of Sheffield. The hotel is near to a number of popular amenities, including the Crucible, Sheffield Arena and Meadowhall Shopping Centre.
